He partnered with Virender Sehwag and Sourav Ganguly and given many match winning knocks for the team. He is having an average of 48.30 in the opening position. In his entire career he scored 18426 runs from 452 matches. He is having the most career runs in cricket history.

Ricky Ponting scored highest runs in the one down position. The former Australian captain scored 12662 runs at an average of 42.49. He scored 13704 runs in his entire cricket career. He had a cricket career of 17 years.  The right hand batsmen made many matching winning knocks for Australian ODI team. One of his famous innings is against Indian in the 2003 ICC World Cup finals. His innings was crucial in building the huge target for India.

Ranatunga is considered as one of the most successful captain for Sri Lankan team.

Although the team prefers to test him in various positions, Dhoni was at his best in the 6th position. He added 3823 runs for Indian cricket team in ODI's. His career total earning till now is 9967 runs with best being 183*. Dhoni's role was crucial in increasing the teams run rate in the final overs.

He scored  2130 runs in the position at an average of 31.32. In his entire cricket career he scored 4379 runs and best being 130. He blasted 16  half centuries in his career. He was also one of the most trusted bowlers of New Zealand with 203 wickets in his cart.

He blasted 1208 runs in the position at an average of 17.01. In his 19 years cricket career he blasted 3717 runs for Pakistan cricket team. The most successful bowler of Pakistan, Akram took 502 wickets in his ODI cricket career.

Bangladesh pacer, Mushrafe Mortaza is having the highest runs in the 9th batting position.  He started his career as a full time bowler and later got promotion in his batting position due to his amazing performance in the 9th position. In the position he added 643 runs for the team at an average of 12.61. Till now In his entire ODI cricket career, he scored 1557 runs. He took 232 wickets for the Bangladesh cricket team.

Former Pakistan pacer Waqar Younis scored 478 runs in the 10th position with an average of 11.12. He scored 969 runs from 262 matches in his ODI career. He was brilliant in the 9th position in many matches. Rather than scoring, he was good in giving the support for the non striker. In his entire cricket career, he took 416 wickets  for Pakistan.

Sri Lanka's one of the greatest spinners, Muttiah Muralidharan scored 171 runs in the 11 position at an average of 5.48.  In his entire ODI career he scored 674 runs. Although he is not the best in the batting area his best score in ODI's was 33*. Considering his bowling career, he took 534 ODI wickets for Sri Lanka.
