1. New Zealand

New Zealand

New Zealand team holds the record of largest victory in ODI's. They thrashed Ireland by 290 runs in 2008 at Aberdeen. Batting first New Zealand showcased a mammoth total of 402 for Ireland. Openers McCullum and Marshall contributed a 274 runs partnership. On following, Taylor scored a quick 59 from 24 balls. On reply, Ireland lost all their wicket at 112 runs. Southee and Mason took 3 wickets each from the bowling side.

2. Australia


In the 2015 ICC World Cup event Australia thrashed Afghanistan for 275 runs in the group stage at Perth. Australian batters dominated over the Afghanistan bowlers and built a huge total of 417 runs. David Warner scored 178 runs just 133 balls. Smith added 95 runs to the score card. Maxxwell was in furious mode and blasted 88 runs from just 39 balls. On reply, Afghanistan lost all their wickets at 142. From the bowling side Johnson took 4 wickets. Hazzlewood and Starc supported him with 2 wickets each. David Warner's innings made him the Man of the Match.

Zimbabwe faced a 272 runs defeat from South Africa in their tour in 2010. In the 3rd ODI, batting first South Africa built a huge target of 400 for Zimbabwe. JP Duminy scored 129 runs from his innings. de Villiers supported him with a 109 knock. On reply, Zimbabwe lost all their wickets at 127.  Theron took 3 wickets for South Africa in the bowling side. Botha, Parnell, Morkel took 2 wickets each and given a good support for the pacer. JP Duminy won the Man of the Match award in the clash.

South Africa slandered Sri Lanka by 258 runs in their Proteas visit. In the first ODI, South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first. Amla's ton and de Villers's half century helped the team set up a 302 target for Sri Lanka. But Sri Lankan batting order experienced a collapse from the beginning itself. Their openers returned to the pavilion with no runs. Only one player passed the two digit run for the team. They lost all their wickets at 43 runs. Tsotsobe took 3 wickets for the side. Morney Morkel was in destructive mood and took 4 important wickets and was awarded with well deserved Man of the Match.

In the 2007 ICC World Cup, Men in Blue thrashed inexperienced Bermuda by 257 runs. In a must win match, India was sent to bat by Bermuda. After a wicket loss, Ganguly and Sehwag added 89 and 114 to the scorecard.  Yuvraj Singh and Tendulkar's aggressive half century helped the team to set up a target of 414 for Bermuda. On reply, Bermuda lost all their wickets at 157 runs. Ajith Agarkar and Anil Kumble took 3 wickets for the side. Virender Sehwag was awarded with Man of the Match for his ton.

In the 2015 ICC World Cup, South Africa defeated West Indies for 257 runs is the largest loss faced by the Windies and 6th largest in the entire ODI's. Batting first, South Africa showcased 409 target for West Indies. de Villiers scored an unbeaten 162 runs from just 66 balls which was the main pillar of the total. Hashim Amla, du Plessis, Russow supported him with half century contributions. On reply, Imran Tahir's 5 wicket performance lashed Windies batting order. They lost all their wickets at 151. de Villiers was awarded with Man of the Match.

7. Australia


Australia's victory of 256 against the fragile Namibia is in the 7th place of largest defeats. In the group stage match of 2003 th ICC World Cup, Australia displayed a 302 runs target for Namibia. Hayden, Symmonds and Lahman contributed half centuries for the team. On reply,the inexperienced Namibia, lost all their wicket at 45 runs. McGrath took 7 wickets in the match by conceding just 15 runs. Also, with his performance, he was granted with the Man of the Match award.

8. India


In the 2008 Asia Cup, Men in Blue thrashed Hong Kong by 256 runs in the group stages. Batting first, India got a decent start from the openers Sehwag and Gambhir. They both added 127 runs for the opening partnership. Sehwag scored 78 runs and Gambhir scored 51 runs. But in the final overs, Dhoni and Raina were in furious mood. Raina scored  101 from just 68 balls and Dhoni added 109 from 96. This contribution helped the team to reach 374 runs. On reply, Indian bowlers sent all the Hong Kong batters in just 118 runs. Chawla took 4 wickets from the bowling side. Raina won the Man of the Match award.

9. Pakistan


Pakistan's 257 runs in the 2016 tour against Ireland is the biggest win for Pakistan in the ODI's. Batting first, with the courtesy of Sharjeel Khan's 152 and  Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Nawaz's half century,  Pakistan reached 337 runs from reduced 47 overs. On reply, Ireland experienced set back from the Pakistan bowlers. Imad Wasim took 5 wickets for the visitors. Umar Gul showed a 3 wicket performance. Ireland ended their innings at 82 runs

10. Sri Lanka

In the India vs Sri Lanka Coca-Cola Champions Trophy finals, India experienced a nightmare loss from the Lankan's. Batting first, Sri Lanka added 299 runs to the scorecard and displayed 300 runs target for India. Sanath Jayasurya blasted 189 runs for the team.  On reply, Indian batters produced one of the worst performances for the team. 10 out of 11 players haven't produced 2 digit score. India ended their chasing at just 54 runs. Chaminda Vas took 5 important wickets for the team. Muralidharan dismissed 3 batsmen's. Sanath Jayasurya's batting performance and 2 catches from the fielding side made him the Man of the Match.
