Oppo R15 Preview

Oppo's flagship phone, R15 is expected to make the Indian market in the month of July. The phone has already released in China and getting mixed feedbacks from the customers. The phone may display a price tag of ₹ 30,990.  But tech experts having title -tattle on this price. They are expecting a price tag below 25k. R15 comes with the latest Android Oreo version. It is having the ColorOS Custom User Interface.

Display and Design

The phone is considered to be one of the thickest from the Oppo range phones. 7.4mm thickness gives a glamorous look for the device. 175 gram weight looks a little higher in the range of smartphones. The glass back gives a good look for the device, but there is chance slippery of the device. The phone will feature in 3 colors Star Purple, Hot Red, Snow White.

R15 is having excellent display features. 6.28 inch OLED display will be a great feature in the display part. The device is having a screen resolution of 1080*2280 pixels. 402ppi pixel density will accord high quality medias. The phone is having an excellent 83.98 screen to body ratio.

Storage and Performance

Octa core processor looks decent in the performance area. It is having the MediaTek MT6757 chip set and the Graphics department is handled by Mali-T880 MP2. R15 is having a 6 GB RAM and will give excellent multi tasking, gaming features.

The device is having a upper hand in storage department with its competitors. 128 GB built in storage is worth the money you spend. 256 GB expandable option is another advantage for the storage lovers. 

Battery and Camera

The phone comes with 16 MP+5 MP Dual Primary Cameras with a F1.7 aperture.  Although it is having a decent camera features, sharpness is yet to be checked. Most Oppo phones disappoints in this criteria. While clicking the photos, we may get high quality images, but zooming may cause blur images. R15's camera is yet to be checked with the above criteria. The cameras can capture an image at a 4616*3464 resolution. Although the model gives the slow-motion, portrait mode features, it is yet unknown about the perfectness in the feature. 20 MP Front camera is surely be a challenger for the range competitors. Selfie lovers will firmly pleased with the resolution.

The 3450 mAh Li-ion battery  is expected to give a 10 hour general use of the phone. Quick charging feature is enabled in R15.

Other Features

The phone will feature dual nano SIMs and comes with basic connectivity features. It lacks latest version of bluetooth and featured the 4.2v.  There is 3.5mm audio jack and it lacks the support of  USB Type-C connector. The finger print scanner is placed in the front side of the device.

Verdict

Oppo may face tough challenges from VIVO V9and HUAWEI P20. But most of its features are worth the money you spend. It is difficult to blindly suggest the phone, but performance, camera looks great in the range of phones. Other than the above mentioned competitors, it may face strong opposition from recently released One Plus 6.
