Xioami's budget range device, Redmi 6 pro launched in China last month, but the Indian user may have to wait till September to purchase the smartphone. The device will have a ₹ 10,590.00 price tag and advertised for its display specs. Redmi 6 Pro will have the latest Android Oreo version and will have UIMI user interface out of the box. The device has built with 2 nano Sim slots and will have 4 G Network support in both.
Display and Design
Redmi 6 Pro will be available in 5 color variants, Black, Blue, Gold, Red and an exclussive Rose Gold color. The 178 gram weight looks a bit heavier and will have a 149.3*71.6*8.7 mm dimension. The design of Redmi 6 Pro is almost similar to that of Redmi Note 5 Pro. The back is aligned with a non metallic plastic back. Overall, Xiaomi hasn't introduced any innovative design features for their new smartphone.
Display part has been the key spec from the manufacturer. 6 Pro is the first Redmi device to have a notch display and the 2nd after the Xiaomi 8 series. The 5.84 inch IPS LCD display will give you a 1080*2280 pixel screen resolution. The 19:9 aspect ratio and 432 ppi Pixel Density looks great in the price range. The device will have a 79.24% screen to body ratio and looks a decent feature for the display part. Redmi ensures a high quality screen output from these specs.
Storage and Performance
For the 11k price tag, Redmi 6 Pro offers a built in memory of 32 GB. It is speculated that, this smartphone will have 2 more storage variants of 64 GB and 128 GB. If these speculations makes sense, then it would be a huge boost for the buyers. Along with the in built offering, Redmi gives you a 256 GB expandable storage option.
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will have Octa core processor for an effortless multi tasking. This will be enhanced with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 chipset. Adreno 506 graphics card looks a bit older, considered as a weak point in the performance sector. A 3 GB RAM will be yet another showing from the manufacturer and will ensure you a high performance.
Battery and Camera
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro built with a huge 4000mAh Li-ion battery. Redmi ensures us a one day normal usage. But the non removable feature will be a drawback for the buyers and depends on the perception.
Redmi 6 Pro will be powered with a dual primary cameras. The main sensor will have a 12 MP resolution and assisted by a secondary sensor of 5 MP. As usual, Redmi has manufactured the device with separate slots for 2 Sim's and SD card. It comes with the bluetooth v4.2 and looks a bit older in the feature. The GPS will be powered with A-GPS and Glonass. Basic connectivity options are available with this device of Wi fi and hotspot. A 3.5 mm Audio jack will be the feature from multimedia. The security section will be handled by the rear positioned Finger print sensor. Along with these, Redmi 6 pro will be enhanced with the basic light, proximity and accelerometer sensors.
Verdict
Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will be the first Redmi device to have a notch display. This feature will help you in utilizing the maximum display space and is a great feature for the price tag. Along with this, 6 Pro is fueled with a 4000 mAh battery which is enough for a 1 day normal usage. Omitting these two features, 6 Pro is an exact copy of Redmi Note 5 Pro. Even 5 Pro had some added features than this. The cameras are having the highest video resolution of 1080p. Although powered with an Octa core processor, the device lacks a latest graphics card. Overall, Redmi 6 Pro will be a good device with a decent price tag. You won't be unhappy if you spent the 11k price.
